Isaiah chapter 49, verse 6

God speaking to the … Son of Man … Messiah … Jesus Christ 

… You are My servant … to rise up the tribes of Jacob … to restore the survivors … I give You as a light to the nations … so … that … My salvation will reach to the ends of the earth … 

 Gospel of John, Chapter 3: Jesus Christ speaking 

… now there was a Pharisee named Nicodemus … a leader of the Jews … He came to Jesus by night and said to Him … Rabbi we know that you are a teacher who has come from God for no one can do these signs that you do apart from the presence of God … Jesus answered him … very truly I tell you … no one can see the Kingdom of God ( Kingdom of Heaven ) without being born from above … Nicodemus said to Jesus … how can anyone be born after having grown old … can one enter a second time into the mother’s womb and be born … Jesus answered … very truly I tell you no one can enter the Kingdom of God ( Kingdom of Heaven ) without being born of water and Spirit … what is born of the flesh is flesh … and … what is born of the Spirit is spirit … do not be astonished that I said to you … you must be born from above … the wind blows where it chooses and you hear the sound of it but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes … so it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit … then … Nicodemus said to Jesus … how can these things be … Jesus answered him … you are a teacher of Israel and yet you do not understand these things … very truly I tell you … We speak of what we know and We testify to what we have seen … yet … you do not receive our testimony ... if I have told you about earthly things and you do not believe how can you believe if I tell you about heavenly things … no one has ascended into heaven except the One who descended from heaven … the Son of Man … just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness so must the Son of Man be lifted up so that whoever believes in Him may have eternal life … for … God so loved the world that He gave His only Son so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but will have eternal life … God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world but in order that the world might be saved through Him … those who believe in Him are not condemned … but … those who do not believe are condemned already … because … they have not believed in the Name of the only Son of God … this is the judgment … the light has come into the world and people loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil … for … all who do evil hate the light and do not come to the light so that their deeds may not be exposed … but … those who do what is true come to the light so that it may be clearly seen that their deeds have been done in God … 

Gospel of John, Chapter 10 Jesus Christ speaking

… very truly I tell you … anyone who does not enter the sheepfold by the gate but climbs in by another way is a thief and a bandit. … the one who enters by the gate is the shepherd of the sheep … the gatekeeper opens the gate for Him … the sheep hear His voice … for … He calls His own sheep by name and leads them out … when He has brought out all His own sheep He goes ahead of them and the sheep follow Him because they know His voice … the sheep will not follow a stranger … but … they will run from a stranger … because … they do not know the voice of a stranger … very truly I tell you … I AM … the gate for the sheep … all who came before Me are thieves and bandits … the sheep did not listen to them … I AM … the gate … whoever enters by Me will be saved … and … will come in and go out and find pasture … the thief comes only to … steal … kill … and … destroy … I have come so that you will have life and have it abundantly … I AM … the good shepherd … the good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep … the hired hand who is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and runs away … then …  the wolf snatches the sheep and scatters them … the hired hand runs away because a hired hand does not care for the sheep … I AM …  the good shepherd … I know my own and my own know me … just as the Father knows me and I know the Father … I lay down My life for the sheep … I have other sheep that do not belong to this fold … I must bring them also … and  …they will listen to my voice … so … there will be one flock and one shepherd … for … this reason … the Father loves Me … because … I lay down My life in order to take it up again … no one takes it from Me … I lay it down of My own accord … I have the power to lay it down … and … I have power to take it up again … I have received this teaching from My Father …
