 2 Thessalonians chapter 2, vs 1

… the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ … and … our being gathered to Him …

The term rapture comes from the Latin verb RAPERE which  means to be “caught up” … as in “gathered” in this verse …

1 Thessalonians chapter 5, vs 9

… God did not appoint us to suffer wrath … but …  to receive salvation … through … our Lord Jesus Christ …

Revelation chapter 3, vs 10 - 11    Jesus Christ speaking

… I will keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world … I AM … coming soon …

1 Thessalonians chapter 1, vs 10

… wait for His Son from heaven … Whom He raised from the dead … Jesus Christ Who will rescue us from the coming wrath …

Luke chapter 21, vs 36                Jesus Christ speaking

… always watch … and … pray … that you will escape all that is about to happen … to stand before the Son of Man …

2 Thessalonians chapter 2, vs 3

… that day will not come until the …  falling away  … occurs … and … the man of lawlessness is revealed …

… the Greek word often translated “falling away” and in some English Holy Bible translations as “rebellion”  is actually the Greek word referenced by Strong #646 which has the literal translation of   “removal”   or   “separation” … the root of Strong #646 is Strong #868 which is the Greek word APOSTASION which also has the literal meaning …  “separation”  … providing both the context and the connotation of … “completion with or by separation” … so … in our analysis … we view this verse as a prophetic statement of the rapture of those made righteous by Jesus Christ … however … we do not disagree with and we appreciate those analyses who view this verse as a statement of the markedly increasing apostasy of individuals in the Christian church just prior to the onset of the seven year Tribulation period because both events … that is the rapture of those who are righteous in their relationship with God through Jesus Christ … and also … the increasing apostasy in the church … occur before that onset of God’s wrath during the Tribulation …

Romans chapter 5, vs 8 - 9

… while we were still sinners … Jesus Christ died for us … and … now justified by His blood … how much more will we be saved from God’s wrath … through Him …

John chapter 14, 1 - 6                  Jesus Christ speaking

… do not let your heart be troubled … Trust in God … Trust also in Me … for … I go to prepare a place for you … I will come back and take you to be with Me … I AM … the Way … the Truth … and … the Life … no one comes to the Father except through Me …

Isaiah chapter 57, vs 2 + 13

… those who walk uprightly … enter into peace  … they find rest as they enter into death … everyone who makes Me their Refuge will inherit the land and will posses My holy mountain …

1 Thessalonians chapter 4, vs 15 - 16

… by the Lord’s word … we will not precede (go before) those who have fallen asleep … the Lord will come down from heaven … with a loud command … with the voice of an archangel … and … with the trumpet of God … then … the dead in Christ will rise first … after that … we who are still alive will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air … we will be with the Lord forever … so … encourage one another …

1 Thessalonians chapter 5, vs  9 - 11

… God did not appoint us to suffer wrath … but … to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ … He died for us so that … whether awake or asleep … we will live together with Him … therefore … encourage one another …

1 Corinthians chapter 15, vs 51 - 53 select verse segments in sequence

… we will not all die but we will all be changed … in a moment … in the twinkling of an eye … at the last trumpet … for the trumpet will sound and the dead will be raised imperishable … then … we will be changed … for … this perishable body must put on imperishability and this mortal body must be made ready for everlasting life with God forever …
