Matthew chapter 13, vs 13 - 18 Jesus Christ speaking

… seeing they do not perceive … hearing they do not listen … nor do they understand …  for … with them indeed is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah that says … you will indeed listen … but … never understand … you will indeed look … but … never perceive … this people’s heart has grown dull … their ears are hard of hearing … they have shut their eyes … so that … they might not look with their eyes … and … listen with their ears … understand with their heart … and … turn … and … I would heal them … however … blessed are your eyes for they see … and … your ears for they hear … truly I tell you … many prophets and righteous people longed … to see what you see but did not see it … and … to hear what you hear … but did not hear it …

Romans chapter 11, vs 5 - 8

… at this present time … there is a remnant … chosen by grace … the elect have obtained it through faith in Jesus Christ … and … the rest of mankind are hardened … as it is written … God gave them a sluggish spirit … eyes that will not see … ears that will not hear … down to this very day …

Jeremiah chapter 5, vs 21 – 24 God speaking

… hear this … you foolish and senseless people … you who have eyes but do not see … you who have ears but do not hear … why do you not have reverence for Me says the LORD ( YHVH ) … why do you not tremble before Me … I placed the sand as the boundary for the sea … a perpetual barrier that it cannot cross … though the waves toss they cannot prevail though the waves roar they cannot pass over it … with a stubborn and rebellious heart you have turned aside and gone away from the knowledge of your true God … and … now … you do not say in your heart … let us have reverence for the LORD ( YHVH ) our God …
