Spirit of God

 

Revelation chapter 21, vs 3 – 7                        Jesus Crist speaking

… now the dwelling of God is with mankind … He will live with them … they will be His people … and … God … Himself … will be with them … and … He will be their God … He will wipe away every tear from their eyes … there will be no more death … no more mourning … no more crying … no more pain … God now says … I AM … I make everything new … then … He ( God, Jesus Christ ) … said … to me … it is done … I AM … the Alpha and the Omega … the Beginning and the End … to those who are thirsty I give without cost from the spring of the water of life … those who overcome will inherit all this  … and … I will be their God … and … they will be my children …

… on the last day … and … great day ( note: this is the 8^th day ) of the Feast ( of Tabernacles )  … Jesus … stood up … and … in a loud voice … said … … if anyone is thirsty let them come to Me and drink … everyone who believes in Me … as the scriptures say … streams of living water will flow from within them …

 

John chapter 4, vs 13 - 14                                    Jesus Christ speaking

… everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again … but … everyone who drinks the water that I give to them will never thirst …indeed … the water that I give will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life …

 

… living water is from the spring of the water of life … this call to us from Jesus Christ in the Gospel of John is clear enough … and … the fulfilled promise as noted in … Revelation chapter 21, vs 3  - 7 … is also clear … that is … believe that Jesus Christ is God … believe that … His … life … death … and … resurrection from the dead … purchased for us redemption from evil/sin … and also … our salvation which is life with God forever … this bible study provides a consideration for what the living water of Jesus Christ  is doing in us as we live our lives in the blessed knowledge that Jesus Christ is God our Lord Savior Teacher and Friend …

… so … right at the beginning of God’s message to mankind in the Holy Bible there is a lot of activity documented … our interest … for this bible study … is the phrase … a wind from God swept over the face of the waters … which has a more literal translation … breath from God … and … in many English translations of the Holy Bible … the phrase used is … Spirit of God …

… He has made known to us the mystery of His will … according to His good pleasure that He set forth in Jesus Christ … a plan for the fullness of time … to gather up all things in Him … things in heaven and things on earth ...

… so … in the Holy Bible … we recognize God as a Spirit … that is … the Spirit of God … right at the beginning … and … the actions of the Spirit of God continue throughout every book of the Holy Bible … we also identify the Spirit of God with six other Spirits which stand before the throne of God in heaven … they … with or perhaps as a composite of the Spirit of God … are present throughout the earth to help humankind find the solution for our redemption from evil/sin … and … salvation which is the promise of life with God forever …

… a shoot will come up from the stum of Jesse … from His roots a Branch will bear fruit … the Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him … and … also … the Spirits of … Wisdom … Understanding … Counsel … Might … Knowledge … and … Reverence for the LORD … He will not judge what He sees with His eyes … or … decide by what He hears with His ears … He will judge the needy with … righteousness and justice … righteousness will be His belt … and … faithfulness will be the sash around His waist … everyone will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea …

 

… so … when God came to mankind as the man Jesus Christ … He embodied the Spirit of God and these other six Spirits … for … the purpose to help individuals of humankind find the solution for redemption from evil/sin and salvation with God forever … that is … for an individual to believe that Jesus Christ is God … and … that His … life … death on the cross … and … resurrection from the dead … purchased our redemption from evil/sin … and … our salvation which is life with God forever …
