Revelation chapter 21                           select verses

… now the whole earth used the same language and the same words … and it came to pass that … as the descendants of Noah journeyed to the East they found a plain in the land of Shinar and they settled there … they said to one another … come and let us make bricks and burn them to harden them thoroughly … and they built with the brick like stone using tar for mortar … and .. they said … come let us build for ourselves a city with a tower whose top will reach into heaven for we will make for ourselves a name or  otherwise we will be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth … the LORD came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built and the LORD said … behold they are acting as one people and they all have the same language … if this is what they are doing now then nothing which they purpose to do will be impossible for them … the LORD said … come let Us go down there and confuse their language so that they will not understand one another's speech … and so … the LORD scattered them abroad from there over the face of the whole earth and they stopped building the city … the name of that city is remembered and called Babel because there the LORD confused the language of the whole earth and from there the LORD scattered the people of humankind abroad over the face of the whole earth …             

 

… the account of the actions at Babel are perhaps two hundred to two hundred and fifty years after the Great Flood of Noah … in our analyses … the language change at Babel was not a punishment … rather … a scheduled action in an established project plan to help humankind from again embracing the deception of evil and falling into widespread sin … following the end of the Great Flood the LORD God asked Noah and his sons to spread across the earth and repopulate it … alternatively … they initially clustered together into the city of Babel … the LORD God initially dispersed humankind at the time of Babel and they will return to be one people through the twelve pearl gates of the New Jerusalem because of the redemptive process made possible by the … life … death on the cross … and … resurrection from the dead … of Jesus Christ who is God our Lord Savior Teacher and Friend … in our analyses … the language change was not the only action which God enabled to disperse humankind over the entire earth … the language chang was followed by the dispersion of Pangea into the continental geography we know today …

 I looked when He opened the sixth seal … then there was a great earthquake … the sun became black as sackcloth of hair … the ^]moon became like blood … the stars of heaven fell to the earth as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind … then ...  the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up … every mountain and island was moved out of their place … and … the kings of the earth … the great men … the rich men … the commanders … the mighty men … every slave and free man … hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains … they said to the mountains and rocks … fall on us to hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb … for … the great day of His wrath has come and who is able to stand …

 

There is a lot going on during the sixth seal judgment … fortunately the children of God will have been raptured to be with Jesus Christ … however … God has intentionally provided the details of this event during the Tribulation and perhaps there is something He’d like us to realize about both that time when it occurs and the current time in which we live …

 

A Dispensational view of the Holy Bible believes the entire textiss a direct communication from God to humankind … to each one of us personally … if we accept that we also accept the fact that … our universe … our world … all of the physical creation … is coming up to an age of 6,000 years … pretty much the acceptance of a truth by free will based on our faith.

one biblical year is 360 days

one Jubilee cycle is 50 years

 

… it is not a question of Christian faith if a person believes this chronology in the Holy Bible … our relationship with God is based on our relationship with Jesus Christ … the very large majority of all people believe the universe is 93 billion light years in diameter and our earth is 4 to 5 billion years old … the observations are correct and the measurements are correct but the analysis is not what the Holy Bible tells us … so … we have no argument with the analyses made on observation and measurement … however … we believe the Holy Bible …

There are in geologic study physical events which occurred because they have left specific scars on the earth of the event … we know the ice ages occurred because of the lakes and physical scarring of their movement over the Northern Hemispheres of the Earth … the question is in what time frame … if you believe the Holy Bible that everything we see know and can measure is within a six thousand time period that is one perspective and if you study observations and measurements of the earth those analyses see a much longer time period … a similar physical event that occurred is best termed … Pangea …

 

Pangea is a reality of the earth’s geologic history however there is an interesting consideration if it occurred in the last six thousand years … that is … when did it occur …

by current scientific findings Pangea was a colossal supercontinent that existed approximately 335 to 200 million years ago … it incorporated nearly all of the Earth's landmasses into a single contiguous entity that was surrounded by a vast global ocean … the original conceptualization of this process began in the late 1800’s when fossils of the same species were found in limestone escarpments of both eastern China and central New York State … since that time fossil alignment of species in quite diverse locations have been identified all over the world … additional current evidence includes the jigsaw fitting of the continental coastlines and the global matching of rock types in places separated from each other by long distances and continental boundaries …  in this bible study the only question to ask is if this actually occurred within the last six thousand years … when did this event actually happen … 

 

Genesis chapter 10, vs 25

10:25 ולעבר ילד שני בנים שם האחד פלג כי בימיו נפלגה הארץ ושם אחיו יקטן

… to Eber two sons were born … the name of one was  Peleg … for… in his days the earth was divided … and his brother’s name was Joktan …

Eber is at the time of the tower of Babel … both Hebrew and Islamic oral history note that Eber refused to turn from the LORD God Almighty and participate in the building of the tower of Babel … for his faithfulness God let Eber retain the original language of humankind … Hebrew … and God when humankind was dispersed across the earth God let Eber remain in the land that he had always lived in … for this reason … Israel and the central core of the Middle East were perhaps at the center of Pangea … perhaps Jerusalem … 

The name PELEG in Hebrew when not used as a proper name means … earthquake … Strong# Hebrew 6389 … פֶלֶג  … this would have been about halfway between the end of the Great Flood of Noah and the Covenant made with Abraham … about 2,250 BC … so is this possible … we feel we do not need to prove it because God says it … however …

 

The tectonic plates under the oceans of the world to a depth of ten miles have a combined approximate mass of 8.5 x 10 to the 18^th power metric tons … geological science knows that these tectonic plates sit below and at the boundary edge of the craton land masses which comprise the continental land masses of the world … their combined approximate mass to a depth of ten miles is 5.5 x 10 to the 18^th power metric tons …  geological science currently believes the unwinding of Pangea was a slow process which took millions of years … and among the observations and findings of this line of scientific inquiry is that the movement was not random but rather along a common axis which had one end rooted somewhere in the North Atlantic ocean … of note there are only two outcrops on the surface of the earth for a type of rock that is considered the oldest rock in the world … one outcrop is in the Southern area of Greenland and the other is in the Southern area of Australia … if the two were connected through the earth they would represent such an axis … across the boundaries of the tectonic plates and the cratons the slow moving motion of the tectonic plates under the cratons cause earthquakes and volcanism …  consider a proposal that there is a ten mile deep void under all the tectonic plates of the world and that they are suspended at the top of it by a force from below … if that force stopped pushing up the tectonic plates would fall through that void … the acceleration would be 32 feet per second and they would be traveling at 257 miles per hour when they hit the bottom of that ten mile void in about 57 seconds … however … if they cratons are connected to a single common axis and do not drop with the tectonic plates they will move laterally … when the tectonic plates drop the continental cratons will come together to reform Pangea and if the tectonic plates were to rise again the continental cratons would again separate … with the math of our models this process would require about five days rather than 57 seconds or millions of years ,,, if this were to occur the impact force of the cratons reforming Pangea would be great however the continental shelves and costal planes would act pretty much to absorb much of the impact force like a shock absorber … a consideration of the kinetic energy changes with plasma properties when heated or cooled can help this consideration … however … our purpose is not so much to challenge current scientific geology theory and teaching as to consider an understanding of select verses in the Holy Bible within the context of these observations measurements and findings … on the plus side … as Christians … if the reformation of Pangea occurs … the rapture of the children of God will have removed us before this event is scheduled to occur in the bible …

…  I looked when He opened the sixth seal … then there was a great earthquake … the sun became black as sackcloth of hair … the ^]moon became like blood … the stars of heaven fell to the earth as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind … then ...  the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up … every mountain and island was moved out of their place … and … the kings of the earth … the great men … the rich men … the commanders … the mighty men … every slave and free man … hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains … they said to the mountains and rocks … fall on us to hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb … for … the great day of His wrath has come and who is able to stand …

… to summarize … this is an analysis model to see how existing information fits a known outcome … perhaps … when Adam and Eve left Eden it was not into a world which had separated continents … rather it was into Pangea … the Great Flood of Noah occurred when the Earth was Pangea … shortly after that during the event termed the Tower of Babel … God changed the single language of humankind into many languages … then … Pangea unwound into our current configuration of continents … in our future … at the sixth seal of the Tribulation … just prior to the one world government of the Antichrist … the continents again wind back into the configuration of Pangea …  after a few more years and just prior to the end of the Tribulation … Pangea again unwinds into separated continents with a world wide earthquake that is greater that all of the previous events …  interesting …
