Zachariah chapter 7, vs 8  and  chapter 8, vs 16                God speaking

7:8 ויהי דבר-יהוה אל-זכריה לאמר

8:16 אלה הדברים אשר תעשו דברו אמת איש את-רעהו אמת ומשפט שלום שפטו בשעריכם

… administer true justice … show mercy and compassion to one another … do not oppress the: widow, fatherless alien or poor … do not think evil of one another … do not plot evil … do not swear falsely

 

… so … YAHWEH’s teaching for this and similar verses is not just to His Chosen people that is the Hebrew ( Jewish ) folks of that time and today but rather the entire teaching of the Holy Bible to all God’s children … and so … as we Christians gradually grow in our knowledge of God through our developing and increasing faith in Jesus Christ and while growing in this relationship with God … our reverence for God increases and so also our understanding of the meaning for this and similar teachings in the Holy Bible … essentially they become increasingly clear for application in our individual lives …

 

Isaiah chapter 57, vs 15                        God speaking

57:15 כי כה אמר רם ונשא שכן עד וקדוש שמו מרום וקדוש אשכון ואת-דכא ושפל-רוח להחיות רוח שפלים ולהחיות לב נדכאים

… only I inhabit eternity … My Name is Holy … I come and dwell with everypne who has a contrite and humble spirit … I will come and dwell with them … to revive the spirit of the humble … to revive the heart of the contrite …

... you are the light of the world ... a city set on a hill cannot be hidden ... … nor do men light a lamp and put it under a bushel basket ... they put the lamp on a stand so it can give light to everyone that is in the house ... therefore … let your light so shine before men ... so that ... they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven ...

… in view of God’s mercy … let us offer ourselves holy and pleasing to God … this is the definition of worship … therefor … let us be transformed by the renewing of our minds … to know God’s will … to know His good pleasing and perfect will …

… let us not be conformed to this world …. but rather …  let us be transformed by the renewal of our minds … so that … by testing of this world we can discern what the true will of God is for us and our lives … that is … let us discern what is the  … good … acceptable … and … perfect … will of God …

… Jesus Christ came and gave of Himself so that some will be … apostles … prophets … evangelists … pastors … teachers … gifts to His church to prepare God’s people for works of service … to build up the body of Christ … until … we all reach unity in the faith … and … in the knowledge of the Son of God to become mature children of God by attaining the whole measure of the fullness of Jesus Christ … so … as we speak the truth in love … let us together in all things … grow up into Jesus Christ … for … from Jesus Christ we grow and build ourselves up in love as each of us does the work of God … our work …
