Isaiah chapter 22, vs 19 - 25                              God speaking

… it will come to be on that day … I will summon My servant Eliakim the son of Hilkiah … I will clothe him with your tunic … I will tie your sash securely about him … I will entrust him with your authority … and … he will become a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and the house of Judah … I will place on His shoulder … the Key of the house of David … and … He will open a door that no one else can shut … He will shut a door that no one else can open … and …  I will fasten Him like a peg in a secure place … and … He will become a throne of honor for His ancestral house … and … they will hang on Him the whole weight of His ancestral house … the offspring and every small vessel … from the cups to all the jars … and … on that day … says the LORD ( YHVH ) of Hosts … the peg that was fastened in a secure place will give way … it will be cut off and fall … and … the load that was hanging on it will be cut off for the LORD ( YHVH ) has spoken …

… in Job 12 vs 15 … the English word … inundate … is an interesting word … our English definition represents a meaning equivalent … to swamp and flood an area with water … or … to overwhelm someone or something with too many … things … tasks … or … people … a good example is a Smurf attack on a computer system by sending an overwhelming number of meaningless messages … the Hebrew verb used in this verse is … WEYAHAPKU … ויהפכו … a conglomerate word used in only this one occasion in the Old Testament … such constructions are termed a postmanteau which means they are a blend of words to enhance a specific meaning for a specific statement … the root of WEYAHAPKU is Hebrew  verb … HAPHAK … הָפַךְ … Strong# Hebrew 2015 … the best literal meanings include … to overthrow … or … to change or pervert or convert with a hostile intent … or … along a similar thread of meaning … to overturn … in our analysis our English word inundate is a best meaning for WEYAHAPKU … it is not the great flood of Noah … it is something else … something that happened earlier … when Adam and Eve left Eden with a knowledge of good and evil … they left Eden where the goodness of God’s creation was embodied and they came to what we understand to be this world and our perceived physical universe … it looks like something else also came either with Adam and Eve or not too long after … and … it is still here … though … through the blood of Jesus Christ on the cross we now have a Restrainer …

… with the Lord … one day is like a thousand years … and .. a thousand years are like one day … our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is not slow about His promise … rather … He is patient … not wishing any to perish … but … for everyone to come to repentance …
